1995 Chevy Astro Constant Dead Battery

Van was dead this morning got a boost drove 10 mins to get gas. Went to start the van again and it was dead. Got another boost, drove it home, turned it off and tried to start it again. Guess what? No battery. After each boost the battery gauge appeared to be in its normal position. This van has had occasional problems starting in the cold, but once it was started it would easily start again. Any help would be great!

Get the battery and alternator load tested if okay -could be a short circuit draining the battery overnite.
