1992 Chevy Astro loss of power steering and brakes

The other morning I went to start my van in cold weather, I heard the drivebelt whine a little but then went away. Everything else seems to work but I lost the power steering and power brakes. I have a manual but I cant seem to link a fault to both components. The drive looks fine and doesnt appear to be slipping.

Ok if you lost both power steering and brakes it is because your power steering pump operates your brakes. These vans have a problem of the power steering shaft braking so I would replace the power steering pump. Hope this helps.
