After driving ten to fifteen miles on the freeway the check engine light comes on steady. I get where I am going/turn engine off plug in my scanner I get no DTC's mil light is off. I start it back up no light on, this is the third time its happen. Used two different scanners and the same thing. My heater core broke two weeks ago. So I loop the hose around to bypass heater unit. The vehicle has been running like new since you guys and Steve W. Helped me a few months back. What can I do guys?

Plug the scan tool in and see if it catches the fault as you drive, some can record and you hit a button when the light is on to catch the data. Plus on most you can plug them in with the engine running and if there is a code it may show up then.
Or have someone else drive while you watch the live data and see what changes when the light comes on.

But it is possible it is a manufacturer specific code or in the ABS or transmission and your scan tool will not read it because it is not stored in the proper format.

EVAP codes are such fun. I got fed up with the rusting lines under the wife's Liberty and replaced all the runs for fuel and EVAP with plastic. Then did the brake lines with NiCopp.
Then last weekend I solved the entire issue and bought her a new car!
