I had my exhaust system replaced with factory original parts. Immediately after I got the car back from the garage, the Check Engine Light keeps coming on. I've had the car in the garage six times in three weeks, but the mechanics have no clue what's causing the light to come on. They've replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the coils, but nothing seems to help. Can the Check Engine Light be correlated to the exhaust system replacement?

The error code that the garage kept getting is P1294 (Target Idle not Reached). The personnel at the garage changed spark plugs with no improvement. They cleaned the coils and still no improvement. They are now suspecting poor compression in #4 cylinder.
