Good morning.

On the old OBD1 systems, there is no reason to reset. If your light is on, and repairs were made and it was the correct repair, the light goes out on its own.

What was the issue?

It just randomly shuts off. You can be going down the road and it will cut off. Sometimes it take five minutes and sometimes it takes hours before it will start back up again. Just changed the throttle position sensor, the map sensor, about to clean out the throttle body, crankshaft position senor. And just ordered the cam position sensor. Please help because tried of asking for rides.

I have come across bad distributor pick ups for this issue.

When it shuts off, do you check for spark?

There is nothing. It goes from starting up, to will not start, to starting and shutting off on you.
