I am pulling these two codes P0700 and the P0741 Torque Converter clutch circuit performance or stuck off.

the truck shifts like a dream - I am wondering if the problem could be a sensor?

These trucks had an issue after a few mile like you have as the TCC control solenoid going out and needing to be replaced. This will not effect the transmission shifting.

P0700 - Transmission Control System Request (this is a flag, not a failure)
P0741 - Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) circuit performance / stuck OFF

When you remove the transmission pan it will be the solenoid that has the blk/tan wire going to it. Replace it and then clear the codes, that should fix the problem.
