I just need to know what is the capacity for drain and fill on this transmission type GA6HP19Z?
Also, what temperature to watch before before doing the final fill?
And what is the torque for the pan. Thanks

Hi,

This transmission is difficult to get information for. What I was able to find were the torque specs and the capacity for a fully drained transmission. See pics below.

If you only drained the pan to replace the filter, I suspect it will likely take approximately 4.5 quarts to fill. However, start between 3 and 4 quarts. Allow the engine to reach operating temp and then check and add as needed.

The manual is not indicating a temperature to test level. However, ATF expands when it gets hot. That's why I am suggesting operating temperature. Also, make sure to run it through the gears a few times before the final inspection.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
