Can you tel me what is a gear set oil? Saw few people change it. It is not the PDK fluid, but something that is on the front of the transmission that is called gear set oil

Great question, this one confuses a lot of people on the Macan, and you’re absolutely right: it is NOT the PDK fluid.

The gear set oil is

Front transfer case / PTM (Porsche Traction Management) gear oil

They say it is lifetime oil, but if you love your car I would change it out.

Fluid type: Porsche-approved gear oil (often 75W-90 spec)
Capacity: 0.8-1.0 liters

If you need help with the service let me know and I will give you instructions. Ken

I see. But there is a guy who changed all 3, transfer case, ODK and gear set, and it's not the transfer case per se but a part of the transmission that is up front of the PDK pan

Yep, this phrase is used to service the drivetrain, what ever that entails.
