CD player failure

I have the stock stereo with six disc CD changer. Recently my stereo does not even recognize there is a CD player and there are six CD's in it. What should I do?

Does the stacker have a manual eject button, many do, its normally next to the CD cartridge stack behind the access slide, failing this you will have to get the stacker removed and bench tested for faults.
