I hollowed my catalytic converter (for pops tune) and I didn’t like the sound, it had a metallic sound inside the car when I but gas.
Can I but universal cat to fix it as it was stock?
As the original one are really expensive.

Hello,

On these newer vehicles, for the most part those universal converters do not work properly and will likely trigger the check engine light. Also, might not pass emission.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

The wu-twc is hollowed and twc is removed in my car
How can I fix the wu-twc for the metallic sound! (Which is expensive)
Should I put twc again or no difference?

A mechanic suggested to open wu-twc and put a pipe in it and fibers he said it will fix it. Is it true?

Do you happen to have an example of the metallic sound you are looking for? Was this on a certain car with certain exhaust?
Because exhaust is typically tuned and manufactured in certain way to produce specific sounds.

As for the putting a pipe and fiber in the converter, I'm not sure that will do what you are looking to achieve.
