How can I tell if the catalytic converter is going bad or is bad? What are signs?

Good afternoon.

You will need to do a test called back pressure test. This test is when you remove the O2 sensor up by the engine and insert a gauge that you can rent at a parts store. Then you start the engine and look at the reading on the gauge. If it is more than two inches of pressure, the converter is plugged up.
