Apologies but you obviously don't have my tractor in your data bank. However, the system is identical to an automotive system. My question is what components may have been damaged after many years of exposure to the atmosphere (the line from the compressor to the condenser has been removed and left open). I realize the compressor and dryer will have to be replaced, but was hoping the evaporator and condenser might still be usable. Hoping to revive this system, thanks. BTW great video and links, much appreciated!

Hi,

It really matters how long things were exposed. The evaporator and condenser can be damaged by excessive moisture. Also, if the compressor was failing, there could be a blockage caused by metallic debris.

Please understand, I'm not familiar with Case's design. However, they are basically all the same. With that, they should work if there is no blockage or leaks. If they have been exposed for a long time, you may want to consider replacing them. The aluminum inside can corrode and create a blockage as well.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Joe
