Car will not start due to the security system

My car will not make a noise when I attempt to start it. I have had problems with the security alarm. Sometimes it will start after I wait the three minutes, but now it will not start. It is making no noise but my interior lights and dash board all light up but it is completely silent. Please help me.

Well, to be honest, I would check the starter itself. It is fairly likely that the solenoid switch on the starter is going bad. The easiest way to check it is to simply connect the posts on it with a screwdriver when the car will not start. If it cranks, then you have confirmed your problem is that switch.
