Car will not start

Car was running fine, just shut off, guy said no fire.

Do you mean it has no spark or the engine is not firing? Have you read the diagnostic fault codes? Do you know how to do that yourself? Have you checked for spark? Can you hear the hum of the fuel pump for one second when you turn on the ignition switch?
