Car started to go into limp mode had diagnostic on it which showed some codes which related to fuel pump. Fuel pump was taken off all seals changed and also turbo was replaced with new one and now car wont start. Fuel is getting to the injectors and when spray easy start into it, it will start but soon as stop spraying will cut out. It will crank over okay too but don't understand why wont continue to run.

Hello,

You do not specify which fuel pump has been removed and repaired/replaced. This 2.5 V6 diesel engine has 3 fuel pumps, 2 in tank and the main, high pressure, pump mounted on the engine.

Please see illustration below to show the in tank fuel pumps.
1 - Suction-jet pump (right-side)
2 - Y-connector
3 - Fuel supply pipe
4 - Baffle housing
5 - Fuel supply pipe
6 - Suction-jet pump (left-side)
7 - Fuel pump
8 - Connecting piece

The in tank fuel pumps supply fuel to the high pressure pump at the engine. If this pump was removed then it is vital to ensure correct timing of the toothed belt. See illustration below.
The drive sprocket for the injection pump needs to be locked in place by a special tool.
See 3rd and 4th illustration below.

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris

It was the main fuel pump under the bonnet that was changed not the ones in the tank. We had someone put machine on it and a code 00550 came up.

Hello,

Code 00550 Start of injection regulation.

It sounds like the pump timing is not correct

Please see the below link on how to set up the timing.

https://www.techtips.ie/Contitech/audi-a4-25-v6-tdi-ake-timing-belt-guide.pdf

Ensure that the engine is set on TDC before you check the injection pump timing.
Then insert the locking pin on the injection pump, see image below.

The PDF has some good images relating to TDC marks and special tools needed.

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris
