Car cranks but doesn’t start. If I keep trying it will start but stop immediately.
The coil light on the dashboard flashes.I have replaced the battery today and now a warning light for the brakes shows.

Hi Mark,

I hope things are going well, so the brake light warning will be its own post, so please start a new thread for that. When the engine is cranking over do you have a security light flashing? If so, this is the problem because the security system is engaged. If not let's continue, so many things can cause the engine not to start, ie. no spark, lack of fuel, also how does the engine sound while cranking over, normal? If not, it can be a mechanical failure, if you upload a short video of the engine cranking, I can tell for sure. In the meantime, I would go over this video which shows how to test each system easily:

If you have no spark then I would use a scanner and see if the crankshaft sensor is working (engine RPM), if not here is the sensor location so you can swap it out, (Rear side of the engine, near the transmission bell housing, right by the flywheel) Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
