Car stalling if I turn the wheel too far left or too far to the right?

When the car is on and running, everything seems fine. No dash lights and no sounds.

If I turn cut my wheel too far left or too far right - my lights sputter in and out, the radio turns on and off, my steering wheel bucks or completely goes lose.

I turn my car off, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on and as long as I don't cut my steering wheel, it's fine again.

So, this happens when the electric motor inside the steering rack is shorted out. Here is how to change the rack out, I would get a new or rebuilt unit to install. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
