Car not cranking

It is a used car. The car will crank and start after the battery is charged and runs smoothly. But after it stopped on the run it will not crank and re-start. Have to be push started.

Have the alternator and charging system tested. Unless you have an auto-parts store near you that you can make it to, you will probably have to remove the alternator and take it in for testing.
