Car jerks when put on Drive. While driving, when car jerks, the N light flashes and car appears to be in a "limp mode". I borrowed a couple of OBDII Code Readers but both says can't connect. I jumper-ed pin 1 and 4 on the 16-Pin DLC connector, and I got continuous blinking on the Engine Light, but the N light gives 2 long and 2 short pulses [Code 22]. Is it correct to say that the fault is the crankshaft position sensor? Is there a way to test this sensor first before attempting to replace it?

In another jerking instance, I got the following codes after jumpering 1and 4 pins: Engine Light=14, N Light=14, 22, 44. Which is the most probable cause of the fault?

More than likely you have an issue with the input speed sensor. I attached the diagnosis for code 22 and 44. These are related but the 14 code is for the throttle position sensor. This could be related but I suspect if you fix the others it will repair this as well if it is related. If it is not, then it will still be there and we can address it then. However, it will probably not cause your issue.

Follow these through and let me know what you find. Thanks
