Battery does not hold a charge

Tried to start the car but the battery died. Tried to jump it and it started but then it shut off after a few minutes.

Have you had the battery tested? Try this simple test and let me know the results.

Also, make sure terminals on the battery are clean and tight. If the battery is weak, try to recharge it first. Once it is charged, if the vehicle starts, confirm the alternator is charging it. Here is a simple link that shows how that is done:
