Sometime when I lock the door from the inside, when I'm walking away, I can hear the door unlocking on their own', cooling fan come on soon as I start the engine. The car started running bad and burns a lot of gas drive a block or two both service engine light and service vehicle soon will go off then the car will run fine. I don't have the fob any more.

Hi,

Wow, that is an interesting one. It seems there is more than one issue, but anything is possible.

Do me a favor. I need you to check if there are any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the computer that may point us in the right direction.

This vehicle has an OBD1 system that doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes. All you will need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip.

Follow the directions in this link and let me know the results:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

The E30 is related to the PCM resetting. Are you disconnecting the battery by chance? The E52 is specific to the ISC/RPM is out of range. ISC stands for idle speed control. Are there any issues there? F32 indicates an issue between the body control module and the ECM (engine control module). If I had to guess, that is where I would think the door lock issue is coming from.

So, I would start by disconnecting the battery and then inspecting the connectors at both modules. Both are under the dash.

Below, pics 1 and 2 are the code definitions. Pics 3 and 4 show the locations of the modules.

The last pic shows the diagnostic flow chart for the F32 code. Keep in mind, if you follow the chart, you will notice both end at checking connections.

Also, the 888 isn't a code and I'm not sure what the 7.0 means. If you have insight, let me know because I can't find anything on them.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Okay, if the battery wasn't disconnected, then it sounds like we have a weak connection. At this point, disconnect the negative battery terminal and inspect the connectors I mentioned. Check to make sure they are tight, corrosion-free, and none of the pins are damaged or bent.

Let me know what you find.
