Hi,
Is the engine overheating? That can cause it to shut down if it is hot enough. When it does stall, does it start right back up?
First, make sure the engine coolant is full. Also, pay attention to see if the radiator cooling fan is running when it gets hot.
Next, an engine stalling and then restarting when it cools can be an indication of a faulty crankshaft position sensor. However, I think we need to focus on the engine registering hot. Check the coolant level first and let me know what is found. Also, and don't laugh, see if the heater works properly. If there is no heat, suspect low coolant.
Additionally, take a look at this link. It describes common symptoms of a failing crankshaft position sensor. See if this mirrors what you experience.
