Hi,

The key fob key getting weaker is noticed by it not working as far away from the vehicle as it once did. Normally, these should work from about 150 feet away. If it is not then the battery is getting weak.

As for the oil, which oil are you talking about? Engine oil? If this is yellow in color or gold in color then it is probably okay. As it wears and gets dirty it gets darker in color until it turns dark brown and black.
