I think an ex tried to put antifreeze (I think because of fish smell) in my gas tank. There is antifreeze on the ground and side of car. Could it have penetrated into the cap less gas tank? Should I have tank drained?

Hi,

Just like the fuel pump nozzle, things can be used to pour other fluid into the tank. So, yes, it is possible. Have you run the vehicle yet? If you haven't run it yet, I would drain the tank. If there is coolant mixed with the fuel, it will damage other things that will be a lot more expensive to repair. Basically, doing it is like preventative maintenance.

I attached the directions below from my manual. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Let me know.

Joe
