Pinion shaft fell out while replacing axle seal, can't get back in ! Mis-alignment.

Good afternoon,
You will need to move the gears around so when you rotate them, they will align and you can install the pin. It may take a few tries but you have to remove one and move it one tooth, either way, to get it lined up. Make sure you install the shim behind it as well. If you do not, it will make noise and could damage the gears.
