Having an issue with the vehicle stalling out and rough starting got a lean fuel code worked it out to most likely fuel pressure sensor but on problem it’s not on top of the fuel rail and I cannot find it. Would you be able to help explain where I could find it and there’s a second with images as well?

Hi,

I believe this vehicle has a high-pressure fuel pump located under the hood. See pics 1 and 2 below. Pic 1 is with the cover on and pic 2 is removed. If that is the case, the fuel rail pressure sensor is located under the intake manifold toward the front of the engine. See pic 3.

Note, the sensor I indicated is one of two sensors. There is a low-pressure sensor on the steel fuel supply line behind the engine. It identifies the pressure being provided by the low-pressure pump in the fuel tank. If you follow the steel fuel line from the HPFP behind the engine, you will find that one.

If there are diagnostic trouble codes present, let us know what they are so we can better assist.

Take care,

Joe
