I filled my car with oil due to it being low, only a quart. It's overfilled for sure, I understand how to drain excess and plan on doing that today. I'm waiting to buy a plug socket wrench to be able to get them out making sure they aren't coated in oil. My main concern is I started it before realizing it had overflowed, it was shuddering while running, backed it up and was getting nothing on the gas. Now the engine isn't even trying to crank anymore, it's just a flat sound, not a peep from the engine. What's the actual chance that it's just the oil is too much for the engine to function, and not that my engine decided to give out.

Hello,

You're trying to pull the spark plugs out now? And how much overfilled on oil is it on the oil dip stick, can you take a picture and post it here. It's a little confusing about the oil overfill. If it was low and you added only a quart, why not just drain the oil from the oil pan and refill with the correct amount, it should be only about 4 1/2 quarts on these engines. 4.2 quarts without a new oil filter, 4.4qt with a new filter.
