Car was in minor accident. One catalytic converter was damaged/replaced. Two weeks later, car quit running again. Nissan dealership says all three catalytic converters need replacement. Dubious, but agreed to it anyways. Now dealership says car still wont run, and says "Platinum from damaged catalytic converters got into your engine, and need a new engine now". I have never heard of this. I'm calling BS. Is this a legit diagnosis?

Good afternoon,

The catalytic converter are in the outlet side of the exhaust.

Did you ask them how it got into the engine and what damage it caused?

It does not sound right but see if you can get more information. It may be best to get a second opinion on this issue.
