I just read on a Cadillac forum about moving the coolant tank out of the way to get to the sensor. Maybe the tank is blocking your view.

It is possible my problem from the start is that it will run fine then I will park it and it wont start. Spayed starter fluid in it it will start then die. I am not sure if it is the fuel pump or not but did read it can be the sensor.

Are there any codes in the computer? Usually with a bad sensor it will set a code p0340 or a similar code. Also usually a bad fuel pump wont have those symptoms usually when they fail they do not cool down and start. Unless you smack the gas tank while cranking the engine sometime they will free up temporary.

I have a thing on the battery so I can undo it it had a security problem where I had to take the key out and wait three minutes so we did that to reset it sometimes, but the check engine light has never come on for anything. My brother checked for codes and none showed up, but that could be from disconnecting the battery.

You should borrow your brothers code reader and when the no start happens check for codes. When it does not start is the security light on solid or blinking with the key in the run position?

Sorry I didn't get the email alert Iam not sure about the security light it doesn't give me information about the state of the light. It says it will say on the display when the fuel get disabled because of the security system. When it doesn't start see what the actual fuel pressure is and if you have fuel injector pulse. Also that code is for the radiator cooling fan nothing to do with starting. Are you having trouble with your radiator cooling fan?
