Welcome to 2CarPros.

There are two camshaft position sensors on this engine. Both are located on the top rear of the engine. Picture 1 shows the locations.

Here are the directions for replacement. The remaining two pictures correlate with the directions.

Hi, thanks! What all tools do I need and about how long would it take? We’re four hours away from home.

Welcome back:

If I recall, I believe the bolts are 10mm that hold the sensors in place. Be careful when you disconnect the wiring at the plug because heat makes them brittle. As far as additional tools, I can't think of anything you should need. Also, there is nothing as far as a relearn process indicated in the manual, so it should be a plug and play replacement.

Let me know how it goes for you or if you have other questions or just need help. Again, the bolt size is from memory. I'm getting old. LOL I hope it's right for you. That isn't something I can look up and I don't have a vehicle like this here to check.

As far as time, that is going to be based on you. However, to give you an idea, I attached the flat rate times for you. If you look at the picture, it gives time based on which side needs replaced or if you are replacing both.

Hope you get home safely. Also, often times parts stores will let you borrow their tools if you are using them in the parking lot. Just a thought.

Take care,
Joe
