During replacing timing belt notice it was one tooth off on right side cam, during uninstalling the belt the cam on right side spun. What is the process of getting it realigned right with out bending valves?

Good morning,

Can you please verify the engine? If you do not know the engine size, please post the complete VIN number for me.

There is no 3.7. There is a 2.7 and 3.5 and the motors are completely different.

Good evening again,

I attached a picture of the alignment marks for you.

If the cam spun, you can use a box wrench on the bolt holding the cam gear and rotate it until the mark lines up.

A little off either way and it will spin all by itself. Install the belt with the marks aligned. when you are done, rotate the engine by hand 3 times and recheck the alignment to be sure the gears are in time.

Thank you for the help. I was just worried about bending the valves if I rotate the cam while the crank was TDC.
