Caliper rebuild

I have trouble seating the piston boot seal to the caliper, wont slip into place, dont know what to do

These two procedures described here are normally just done by hand but sometimes a tool can help

1. If youre taking about the ruber dust cover from piston to caliper body. Use wd40 and a 90 degree or strait mechanics pick if needed to carfully get under it and use it to help slip the dust cover over the rim kinda like installing a tire onto the lip or rim of the caliper. Done

but" if youre talking about the acual rubber piston seal and piston installation into the caliper then.

2. Remove the bleeder screw or any hose bolts so air can escape while installing the piston clean the cylinder and piston thoroughly making sure theres no dust or small particals in there. Then Coat the inside of the cylinder with brake oil and put some on the piston to and the rubber seal an run the rubber seal into the groove of the piston as deep as you can with your fingers while gently pushing the piston inward to help the rubber seal work its way into the cylinder with your fingers or somtimes a coffee stirrer or a popsicle stick helps as a tool with the seal too. It should pop right in good luck
