I just want to know how to change the battery on my 2002 Cadillac Seville STS & SLS. I have 2 Cadillacs. I know the battery is under the back seat and I know it needs to be vented, but I don't know how to get to it.

Anyone have directions or is it too dangerous for a regular "joe" to fix.

Thanks!

Just grab the front of the rear seat cushion and fiirmly lift, you may have to do it on each side. The battery is on the passenger side, the plastic vent tube comes off and pulls out of the floor pan grommet. The cable ends are 5/16, or 8mm. Check that the batteries have not leaked acid on the floor pan. The battery itself needs to be tilted rearward and lifted after the holddown is removed, it is somewhat heavy.
