When the twilight control is turned on I've started my car in the garage (in the early morning or evening when it's dark inside) and everything seems to be ok, the headlights & dash lights are on.

Then within a few minutes the dashlights go off if left idling in the garage or they go off as soon as I back out of the garage.

So I tried manually turning on the headlights & adjusting the brightness with the headlight knob and nothing worked.

I saw someone else posted a question for the same problem on a 1997 Seville, but didn't see any feedback posted.

Scan your codes to see if you have any. Off and warmer on the heater controls, w/ the key in the on position, we will go from there

Q2: Will do - I noticed last night w/twilight on the headlights aren't coming on either. Intermittant functioning & mostly NOT working. Also when I turned on the dome light the little lights on the window control buttons lit up and i've never seen them light up b4, should they also be lighting up w/the dashboard etc?

I'll see what I can find on codes. Thanks VERY much!

3-17: 10pm edt - I tried what you described - I turned the key to on, pushed the "off" button for the heat/cooling control and then turned the temperature from 60 degrees (lowest setting) to 90 degrees.

There were no messages displayed on the dashboard or anywhere else.

Not sure I did what I was supposed to do, and since the manual that came with the car doesn't give any direction on doing diagnostics it's difficult to determine that I did this correctly.
