1994 Cadillac SLS AC compressor off

The dash board infromation says compressor is off and shuts down, there was no cold air

System is most likely low on refrigerant as a result of a leak, or could have a faulty pressure sensor. The compressor is shut off to protect it from being run(or perceivably) without oil. Would need diagnosed, and/or leak checked.
