I have tried to find the door or panel yhat allows the filter replacement, its under the dash board according to the owners manual. I looked but can't find the panel to remove to replace it. Even tried to remove the outside shield under the wiper area as the other cars I have had.

Look next to your gas pedal(to the right). Little white door that has a pull tab. Do you know what your getting into with this filter, It was not one of GM's better ideas. It is a three piece interlocking filter that can take 20 mins, or an hour and a half, it decides which one. We got 1.5 hours flat rate to replace a cabin filter on 98-04 Sevilles, and the 20 min time I referred to was my personal best. It helps somewhat if you remove the gas pedal from the firewall(couple of nuts). Good luck!
