My car trunk got broken into and it was sittimg a year but when I went to go start my car the security light was flashing and the dash keep reading car maynot restart and everything in the car works but when u try to turn the key it turns fine but the car doesn't make any noise it just keep sayin car maynot restart. I have never had any problems with this vechical except putin an alternator in there but I can't figure out this issue please help. Oan I also just put a brand new battery in there 3 days ago

The resistance of the ignition cylinder w/key would need to be checked at the base of the column. Most often what is associated with this symptom is broken wires at the ignition lock cylinder, and the key value can not be validated and start enabled.
