2005 Cadillac Escalade Oil Pressure Gauge

Oil Pressure gauge works intermittently. Full of oil and runs fine. Mechanic replaced the "oil pressure switch" and gauge will work fine for a while then drop to zero and stay there. Ruled out oil pump and switch or sending unit. Was told if it was instrument cluster just one gauge would not be working. It would affect multiple gauges. Confirmed with Cadillac. Any suggestions?

You can have one gauge faulty on you're cluster. That would be my suggestion on a fault. If you can get it acting up, the GM scan tool(tech 2) can perform a gauge sweep that will rule out the gauges.
