2002 Cadillac Escalade Heater doesn't put out enough heat.

The heater on my 02 escalade doesn't put out enough heat unless the dial is turned all the way up. I had the thermostat changed and replace the antifreeze but this didn't change anything. I suspect the heaer control valve isn't letting enough coolant into the heater core. Please advise. Thanks

There is no heater control valve, coolant always flows through core. It is an automatic system that relies on sensor values, until you select max heat(90) or max cool(60). It is possible that you have low flow through the heater core due to restriction, you have a fault in the system allowing cold air to blend and cool the warm air, poor airflow across the inside temp sensor.
