2000 Cadillac Escalade Air compressor

I have a 2000 Escalade and the a/c blows icy cold in the back and lukewarm air in the front, so I tried to add freon to the compressor and now the compressor goes on and off when I turn the a/c on. I know I let some of the freon out and it is not fully charged would that be the problem. Thanks

Unfortunately these systems are so finicky that they have to be evacuated, put on a vacuum and then recharged with exactly the correct amount of freon. Try this and get back to us.
