2001 Cadillac EL Dorado Pulsation

Transmission problem
2001 Cadillac El Dorado V8 18,385 miles

When I race the engine with car in neutral, it pulsates-on, off, on, off
What could cause this. I can't detect a problem while driving, even at hight speed on highdway.

Hello,

You are talking about the engine surge, this is normal in newer vehicles. It does that so you don't race the engine any higher to prevent damage.
