2000 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello, I recently ran out of gas and now my car wont start. I checked my fuel pump fuse under the hood and it was blown. I replaced the fuse and it blows everytime I try to start my car. Please tell me what is causing this and what parts I need to get it repaired. Thank you for your time, please respond soon. It's my only transportation to work-Blazz_19

Probably burned the pump out, it's cooled by the gas in the tank, because that's where the pump is.
Try unplugging the pump then see if the fuse still blows, if not replace the pump.
