My fuel gauge moves around anywhere from empty to full. My miles to empty changes along with the gauge going whacky. I suspected the sending unit, but mechanic is telling me it's the BCM. I haven't been able to confirm this issue being caused by a faulty BCM. It's a spendy repair. Any thoughts from you fine folks?

I would speculate it is the sender, it is more probable than the PZM(body control module), although that is another player in the game. What was his diagnosis to determine it is the BCM? There is this bulletin on the sender, pasted for your review;
