After a COLD -27F night of driving home I haven't been unable to get my car to start without backfire. It will crank solid until BOOM! I have tried this a number of times and refuse to try again? Does this sound like a coil issue?

I also suspected a possible fuel issue as I could heard a slight buzz from the passenger side of the car while getting going. Sounded like it was coming from the fuel filter? The temperature is now above freezing, what do you recommend I troubleshoot first?

Does the car start and run fine? Sometimes backfiring can occur if the engine is not cranked(i.E. Key not held in start) long enough, that has been considered normal. The fuel regultor may be leaking some extra fuel into the intake, pull the vacuum line at the regulator and check for raw fuel.
