Hi, I have a 1997 cadillac el dorado northstar with a 4.6, and there is an oil leak coming from the pan, I believe it is coming from the second layer of the pan, is there any way to repair this or inspect this without taking out the entire engine, this is a rather urgent matter and it would be greatly appreciated if I could recieve an answer asap, thank you. :D

Depending how bad it is, leave it alone, dealership cost you about 12 to 1300.00, no the engine doesnt have to come out, but the trans does, if it isnt leaking bad but you are loosing more your probally burning it, need to have cylinders cleaned with chemicals to free up piston rings, which is not a major cost
