1990 Cadillac EL Dorado digital dahboard

Any ideas on what may be causing the digital display to go out intermittently? I am disabled now but was a former GM (Olds-Chevy) Service Tech. I haven't gotten my hands and a Helms manual but still have all of my tools. The previous owner says he had the same problem twice and a tune-up fixed it. That sounds strange to me but could it possibly be emissions related?

I dought that a tune up fixed it also, but I have a wiring diagram for you if you give me your e-mail, its in pdf format
