Hello, I've been having this problem with my car for the last 2 weeks. It seems that whenever I am at a red light, and the car is idling, the engine seems to have a rough idle, and at times it seems like the car is running with 7 cylinders instead of 8. However this does not happen all the time.

If you had a misfire, especially where you felt that one cylinder was missing, you would have a light. The only thing I can offer, is someone driving it with a scan tool and checking misfire counts, or fuel trim values, to confirm that there is something going on.

I have the same problem. I replaced a coil pack on the #6 cylinder and it fixed the problem. About 30,000 miles later I had the same problem, with one exception I had no engine lite and no codes. I replace all the coils(very expensive) and went fine for 2 months and then the problem came back. I am thinking it is the computer. But it is another very expensive item. I am still trying to decide what to do. Any news on your car?
