2003 Cadillac Deville Engine Noise

I was told at the dealership that I had a piston slap at cold startup and if it went away within ten minutes it was acceptable. What do you say about this? I still have one year bumper to bumper warranty.

Its not acceptable, its carbon, if this is what happeneds, you need a top engine clean. The use of preimum fuel causes high carbon build up. Was this a caddy dealership or a chevy dealership?

Buzzsaw said that the engine noise is not acceptable and I need a top engine clean. I am guilty of using premium fuel. Can you tell me what is involved in top engine cleaning and what would the rough estimate be for doing this cleaning? Thank you.
