The cruise control switch will not stay locked on when pushed. I need to replace the cruise control switch. How do I remove the plastic cover that holds the switch in place? Are there any precautions I should take to prevent triggering the air bag?

So how do I remove the air bag and get the plastic cover off of the steering wheel so I can get at the switch to replace it?

My steering wheel has two rectangular slots in the back at the top when the wheels are straight ahead.
There are no torque screws that I see.

back of the steering wheel, you need a 27 or 30 torque bit
