Friend did rear brake job, pads and rotors only. The brakes work fine but the anti lock system and traction control doesn't work now. The lights for both systems on the dash stay on. The guy doesn't know what to do. Any help would be a big help thank you.

Did he accidently loosen one of the wheel sensor connectors?

The connectors can get fragile with age and the secondary lock can break, causing the connector to lose connection.

Check the wheel sensor connectors and if problem persists, have car scanned with chassis scanner, and get correct code.
